A memorial blanket for the cat who chose your lap

Cats leave a specific absence: the windowsill, the end of the bed, the spot on the sofa that was never really yours. A memorial blanket puts their face and their name back in that spot.

Sending one to someone else

If the cat was a friend's, enter their address at checkout. Nothing in the box shows the price, and gift orders ship without a receipt. It takes seven to twelve days door to door, so it arrives after the first rush of messages has stopped.

You will need a photo. Ask someone close to them, or look through what they have posted. The picture they chose to share is usually the one they would choose for this.

Which material

Sherpa is the default on the memorial design: a printed face, a thick fleece back, and the one that gets kept on a lap. Velveteen holds the most photographic detail, which is worth choosing when the fur is the portrait.

What people ask before they order

Cats are hard to photograph. What kind of photo works?
One taken in daylight with their face toward the camera, even slightly. The portrait on the Pet Memorial design is a circle, so a photo with a little room around the face crops best. The builder checks the printed resolution of whatever you upload and tells you before checkout.
Can you remove the background?
On the Illustrated Pet Portrait design, yes: one tap in the builder, and a person checks every cutout before it prints. Long fur and whiskers are the hard part, and we fix by hand what the automatic pass misses.
What should it say?
Their name, the years, and one line. The memorial design gives you up to 110 characters for that line, which is about two short sentences. Write the thing you would say to them, not about them.
